Nacka municipality used existing Word and PowerPoint templates that worked visually, but did not meet the new accessibility requirements of the Web Directive. To meet the legal requirements and be able to publish documents externally, the templates needed to be updated.
The challenge was that the municipality's graphic profile was not fully adapted to accessibility. At the same time, knowledge of what was required was often limited. The municipality therefore needed support to find solutions that both retained the visual expression and met the legal requirements.
We rebuilt the Word templates to comply with the Web Directive guidelines, with a clear structure and correct reading order for assistive technologies used by visually impaired people. The PowerPoint templates received improved point size, higher contrast and adjustments to make them more readable and inclusive.
The result is modern templates that work for everyone - both employees and external recipients. Nacka Municipality now has access to Word and PowerPoint templates that strengthen the brand, save time and at the same time meet the Web Directive's requirements for accessibility.
