Dentalum has previously handled its internal financial reporting manually. In connection with the company's strong expansion over the past year, they have seen an increased need for an automated solution. Today they have a Power BI report containing an interactive income statement. The report is based on daily automatic data collection.
Dentalum has expanded significantly over the past year. As the number of clinics increases, the need for more detailed and regular financial reporting has become increasingly apparent, both overall and at each clinic.
Previously, Dentalum handled its internal financial reporting manually, in different files. In connection with the rapidly increasing number of clinics, they have seen a need to consolidate and automate the reporting, in order to carry out the work in a smoother way. Dentalum also wanted to securely make the reports available to both the clinic managers and Dentalum as a whole.
We have developed a fully automated solution, with integration with the Fortknox system. Now data is retrieved and updated daily in the data model from which the report is created. Their Power BI report has been distributed to the clinic managers in the Power BI app "DentalumLuppen". The clinic managers have, with the help of authorization management, gained access to their clinic's figures.
The report is built around the Profitbase Financial Matrix visualization. It has enabled a customized and interactive income statement. Users can filter by company, cost center, custom periods and drill down to both account and statement level. In addition, they can choose which key figures are displayed, and how they are displayed. Another appreciated feature is that they can, at the click of a button, export the income statement to Excel.
