Report templates that are visually appealing and fully accessible, well that's what Implement Consulting Group and the Danish Evaluation Institute (EVA) wanted. No sooner said than done: For the Ministry of Children and Education in Denmark, we delivered two customized solutions that ensured the highest standards of accessibility and design.
It was important to combine aesthetics and accessibility in the report templates. They had to be not only visually appealing but also fully accessible according to current standards. Accessibility requirements that affected production included: clear structure, sufficient text size, contrast between text and background, and correct tagging for screen readers in PDF. With clever solutions, we managed to combine these requirements with visually appealing effects.
The assignment included the production of two reports: an Evaluation Report and an Inspiration Report. We created an accessible Word template for the Evaluation Report and an InDesign template for the Inspiration Report.
To support the content of the reports, we designed a simpler style of icons and graphics that complemented the text and facilitated readability. We implemented the content of the reports in the respective templates and carried out extensive quality assurance.
Oncethe reports were finalized, we performed post-processing and accessibility customization of final PDFs to ensure they could be published on the web. Implement Consulting Group and EVA were able to publish reports that were visually appealing and ensured access to important information for all their target audiences.
