With Excel2Word, we built an interim report solution for Skanska that reduces manual steps and ensures that the report's tables are always up to date. The benefits were so clear that Skanska extended the approach to other documents, including a compensation template.

Skanska was faced with the production of an interim report where it was important to bring together a lot of financial content into a consistent and professional document. The report needed to contain up-to-date figures, clear tables and charts - and maintain a high graphic and communicative level throughout.
To make reporting more efficient and reduce the need for manual handling, Skanska turned to us. They wanted a solution that would make it easier to work with many tables and updates, and provide better control in report production.

We set up the report using Excel2Word, a tool that seamlessly links Excel and Word. When figures change in Excel tables, the report is automatically updated in Word - without the need to manually move information between versions. The solution makes it easy to keep the report consistent throughout the process and to work quickly even when updates occur late.

The result was an interim reporting process that saves time and minimizes the risk of errors, while always reflecting the latest data. But the benefits did not stop there. During the course of the work, Skanska itself saw multiple uses for Excel2Word, so the tool was also used to create a replacement template at a later date.
