Every year, Diös Fastigheter needed to produce annual reports for over 100 subsidiaries. This meant time-consuming and manual work, with a high risk of errors and major challenges in keeping the layout and structure together. When new companies were added, the work became even more difficult to scale. Diös wanted a solution that reduced administration, ensured consistency and made the process much smoother.
We built a smart report template where Excel acts as the hub for all information. Through our add-in Excel2Word, Excel could be linked to Word and export all annual reports in one go - with a single click. This meant that each subsidiary automatically received the right template, the right content and the right layout, without any manual steps.
The Excel model handles everything: company data, notes, tables, texts and layout choices. Smart functions control which parts to show, hide or filter - all controlled by formulas and logic in a single sheet. When exported, ready-made Word documents are generated that are consistent in both structure and design. The tables automatically retrieve the correct data, and if anything is missing, rows and columns are hidden immediately on export.
The solution saves time, minimizes errors, and makes it easy to manage changes, whether for new years, new notes, or new companies.
