To visualize a common schedule for projects with underlying processes, we automated a workflow between Microsoft Planner and Power BI using Power Automate.

We presented three possible solutions: Excel spreadsheet, Microsoft Project or a combination of Microsoft Planner and Power BI. We chose the latter. Since Microsoft does not yet have a direct link between Planner and Power BI, we needed to create a solution to automate the data export between the services.
Two Power Automate Flows were required to effectively automate the data collection, allowing Power BI to read and visualize the structured data source.
We also created a separate Power Automate Flow that is used to account for the project members in an understandable format.
