When Elajo wanted to take the next step in streamlining and visualizing their door installations, they made a wise decision: To invest in a smarter, more transparent way of working. Heading two

A growing need for flexibility and visual clarity

Elajo works with complex door installations where each door has specific requirements, components and locations. To keep all the information organized, they used traditional door cards - lists and sketches of what an installation would look like. When Elajo saw one of our previous customer cases, where we helped Finlarm with a similar need, they realized that their workflow could also be simplified and improved with a visual and graphical tool.

Heading two

From single door cards to a comprehensive project compilation

After our initial conversations, it became clear that Elajo's needs went beyond a graphical tool for individual door cards. They wanted to create something bigger - a tool that could be used as a whole project summary. In larger installation projects, such as the construction of a shopping center, they needed to be able to manage many different door types in the same document. In addition to visual layouts, they also needed functions to keep track of large amounts of information, compare door installations, and add up how many components were required at the project level. The existing process did not provide the overview or flexibility that the projects required.

Heading three

A customized Excel model for graphics, logic and project management

We developed a customized Excel model that combined smart functionality with a visual and intuitive approach. The solution was built with:

  • Graphical door layouts where the user can easily place attributes such as handles, door automatics, card readers and other components.
  • Support for multiple door types in the same document. With the possibility to create, save and modify each installation individually.
  • Project overview where all information is collected, structured and linked.
  • Automatic summaries that calculate quantities of each component, door type or installation.
  • Print-friendly views to quickly produce materials that can be shared with customers, installers and other contractors.

Throughout the process, we worked closely with Elajo to customize the layout, interaction and logic - all to create a tool that is both technically powerful and easy to use in practice.

Heading four

A unified and powerful tool for Elajo projects

The model has become a hub in Elajo's project work, where everything is saved in a single Excel file and can be easily shared. The result is a solution that saves time, creates security, improves communication and provides a professional presentation that strengthens the relationship both internally and with the customer.
