Värmdö municipality worked with many documents and presentations, but lacked a uniform and accessible template structure. Keeping layout, graphic profile and accessibility requirements together was both time consuming and difficult to quality assure.
The municipality recognized the need for a comprehensive solution that simplified the lives of over 1,300 users. They wanted templates that were branded, accessible and always easy to reach - regardless of platform.
We created accessible templates in Word, PowerPoint and Excel, designed in line with the municipality's graphic profile. TemplateExtender brought all templates, images and functions together in one place, and integration with Mediaflow ensured that images were automatically captioned. A presentation library also provided ready-made PowerPoint pages to build on.
To anchor the solution, we conducted a seminar and training. The seminar introduced TemplateExtender and was recorded for future onboarding, while the in-depth training was aimed at those working administratively. The result is a long-term, efficient way of working that saves time, minimizes errors and strengthens Värmdö municipality's communication.
