Finlarm wanted an Excel model that would facilitate their work with the creation of so-called door cards.

Door cards contain several images of doors with different attributes, such as security, alarm, or simple door handles. The creation of the images was time-consuming and complicated as each attribute had to be manually placed in the right place. It also lacked the ability to easily save and reuse attributes.

With the help of many small images of each attribute, we created a file where users loaded the images as objects in Excel, after selecting them in a list. The attributes could later be placed in any location over a "canvas" of two pairs of doors, and then saved. The location and position of the attributes were stored in the file's database and one could then go to the main template and load one or more attributes in its associated location. Then the final template itself, which then contains both attributes and their location, as well as other relevant information, could be saved as a PDF to be sent to the customer.
