Commission:

When Almega underwent extensive branding work, the organisation needed to change office templates and revamp its visual communication.

Challenge:

The challenge was to create functional tools for an organisation of some 25 different federations and trade associations, all working in the same way as individual senders.

Solution:

We built a custom template package for ALmega where the user can easily switch between different logos, and create combinations. We supplemented PowerPoint and Word templates with designed Excel chart templates and put extra resources into developing a report template that would be design-wise suitable to replace designed printed materials, but at the same time be easy and efficient to work in. We also developed a sales presentation with an introductory film presentation of the organisation's efforts to improve the Swedish working climate.

When Almega undertook an extensive branding exercise, it presented a whole new set of challenges for the organisation. Almega, an employers' organisation with a number of federations and sectoral organisations, had 25 unique logos and two graphic styles to deal with - but still needed rigour and common tools. In addition, there needed to be the option of being a sender based on which office was communicating, ranging from offices in Luleå to Malmö. Almega's biggest challenge was to facilitate and ensure that all employees, regardless of affiliation or geographical location, created strong practical branding in their daily work. and could easily switch between speaking as an association, a sector or as an organisation.

An additional challenge was the large number of reports and documents produced. An effort was made to slim down and streamline the production process, both in terms of resources and time.

With the new graphic profile, some ready-made communication needed to be renewed - such as the organisation's presentation of its activities.

The template package

In consultation with us, Almega decided on a custom-built version of a template package in Office. We developed two PowerPoint templates, one in the manner of the organisation and one in the manner of the association and sector. Both templates were equipped with a direct button to Almega's own image bank, and a template button. The template button means that anyone, at any time, can access all the templates available, without having to search for them. The PictureLibrary is a feature built by us that gives the user access to all the images in the archive, perfectly adapted to the particular layout on which it will be used.

For the federation template, the user also needed to be able to change the logo depending on the federation or sector. Here we created a completely new tool, a one-button function that allows users to switch between logos in the template. Since Almega needs to present data regularly, we also helped them with chart templates in Excel, which automated the process of producing visual and branded charts.

In the template package we also added Outlook signatures that simplified the process of creating consistent email signatures based on

Sales presentation and film

Almega's business presentation needed to explain an advanced business structure in a simple way. The organisation's communications department produced a raw material for us to work with. As the new format had many elements with moving material, we decided to start the presentation with a film. We worked on a script and developed visuals, and the end result was an effective presentation of the core of the business. The film worked so that it could be used separately as well as an introduction to further presentations. The presentation that followed the film was built on a framework of simple but powerful animations sim helped to elevate the message.

Report template

The organisation's need to be able to produce reports efficiently and resource-consciously with many different senders - both singly and in constellations - meant that we needed to develop a sender arrangement tool. The solution was a function that automated this, set in a strong report template in Word, in either Almega or association and industry colours. The report template allowed the organisation to produce quickly and have a finished product ready for digital printing, without the need for a designer or printer. Most importantly, digital products could be produced with few resources and only Word, a tool already familiar to all users.
