Almi works with several different systems and platforms, where they want to get updated data - daily or several times a day. The assignment consisted of fully automating the retrieval of data that was previously done by a user receiving a data file by email and then saving it to a storage location.

To cut manual steps for users, even if they are small and may seem insignificant. Since some of the systems send data files several times a day, it ends up being quite a lot of manual handling. The challenge was therefore to automate the flow to 100%.

We quickly set up an automated workflow with the help of Power Automate, which detects if there is an email from a certain sender with an attached file. In the next step, we triggered a flow that copies the attached files into a storage folder in Sharepoint.
