MIC Nordic needed to replace a complex and cumbersome Excel solution with a more structured and future-proof system. By building a data-driven platform in Microsoft Dataverse with a user-friendly interface in Power Apps, a centralized solution was created where information from multiple sources is collected and managed consistently. The result is a system that provides full traceability, improved data quality, and a clear overview of operations. The solution has reduced manual processing, streamlined workflows, and created a stable foundation for continued development.

Mic Nordic reached out to us again following a previous successful collaboration in which we automated their reporting of measurement data in Excel. This time, their needs were more extensive. A complex and unwieldy Excel file had become a bottleneck in their operations, while important project information was scattered across the Visma Spiris business system and among various stakeholders. The work required a significant amount of manual handling, with a high risk of errors. The client wanted to create a more unified and user-friendly system that could consolidate all data, reduce errors, and provide a better overview.
The goal of the project was clear: to create a unified interface that consolidates all data, reduces data entry errors, and provides a better overview and traceability.

We built the solution in Microsoft Dataverse to create a stable and secure database, and developed an intuitive interface in Power Apps. Data was integrated from Visma and other sources and structured into clear fact tables and dimensions. The project was carried out in several phases—from the feasibility study to deployment—to ensure quality at every step. During the project, we addressed challenges related to API integrations and varying data quality in existing files. We also developed a separate application for managing SIM cards, which enabled clear links between projects, items, and customers.

The result was, in practice, an entirely new business system where all data is collected and updated automatically. The customer can now manage projects, products, installations, and contracts all within a single system, with full traceability and real-time insights. Manual processing has been significantly reduced, while data quality has improved. The solution provides a clear 360-degree view of the business and serves as a scalable platform for future development—saving time and reducing the risk of errors.
