If you plan to zoom in on the image, you need to use a high-resolution image; otherwise, it may end up looking pixelated. A good rule of thumb is to start with at least Full HD resolution or higher when working with zoom or Morph effects. Also keep in mind that compressing the image after the fact can ruin the Morph animation itself, so it’s better to optimize and compress the images before you start working with the effect.
When using the Subtract Shapes feature, the order in which you select the objects is crucial. You must first select the shape you want to keep, and then the shape you want to remove from it. PowerPoint uses the last shape selected as the “cutter” to cut away the area from the first one.
This feature is used when you want to create more complex shapes or graphics, such as cutting out parts of a shape, creating icons, or building infographics. If you select elements in the wrong order, the result won’t turn out as you intended—so it’s important to always keep in mind: “Keep what you want first, remove what you want later.”
Yes, you can select multiple objects at once—for example, by holding down the Shift key and clicking—and change properties such as color, line weight, or font directly. However, be careful when resizing or repositioning them, as each object is affected individually and the layout may be disrupted. If you want to adjust multiple objects as a single unit, it’s better to group them first.
PowerPoint Live is a mode that lets you share the presentation itself directly in Teams instead of just sharing your screen. This gives you access to Presenter View with notes, while participants see an optimized version of the presentation. Morph works in Live mode. However, there is a risk of losing the overall flow, as the audience can navigate through the presentation on their own and go through the Morph sequence before it’s time.
